Thermovision – Fire detection

For the experiment, we used modern solutions using thermal imaging - the Hikvision DS-2TD1217-3/V bispectral camera and the Hikvision DS-2TP23-10VM/W handheld bispectral camera. The camera was installed approximately 35 meters from the source of the fire, which was detected less than 50 seconds after the invitation.

It should be noted that the fire was detected in an open space where other methods of fire detection are not viable due to draft. This solution is great for fire protection of large outdoor spaces such as landfills, outdoor warehouses, but it will not fail in any other case. An additional advantage of the solution is that at the same time we get a simple overview of the space and a more effective detection of the intruder.

Thermal cameras are characterized by much faster and more accurate detection of an intruder thanks to the use of heat difference detection. In this way, false alarms, which can normally be caused by detecting the movement of leaves on a tree or a shadow falling from a window, also disappear. As you can see, bispectral thermal imaging cameras work well in many applications and are characterized by high accuracy.
