The PFS3218-16ET-135 from Dahua is an economical PoE switch that is used to build IP surveillance systems. It is equipped with 16 RJ45 10/100Mbps ports that support PoE 802.3af/at technology, as well as two RJ45 Uplink 1 Gbps shared ports (Combo) with two ports for SFP inserts. It complies with IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at and Hi-PoE standards (for the first two ports). This switch has a total PoE power budget of 135W for the devices connected to it. To connect the switch to a fiber optic network, it is necessary to use the appropriate SFP module. It should be remembered that the corresponding RJ-45 and SFP sockets work in parallel. If the transmission takes place around the SFP port, then the RJ-45 port is turned off and vice versa.

Smart PoE ports


The device uses sixteen PoE ports, each of which allows the power supply to power with a power consumption not exceeding 30W (the exception are the first 2 ports with Hi-POE support, which can provide power of up to 60W). An additional advantage of Switch Poe Dahua is the function associated with the intelligent protective mechanism, which regulates power consumption at the time of overload. If all powered devices exceed the value of 135W, the switch automatically disconnect the communication port with the lowest priority.
